Australia Day the Hawkesbury way

Tuesday the 26th of January will mark the celebration of Australia Day, celebrated many ways within our region. The Hawkesbury council will be hosting the annual Australia Day Citizen Ceremony, commencing at 9:00am, followed by the Australia Day Awards Ceremony at 11:00am. The event will be available to livestream on the Councils Youtube account, as to align with COVID-Safe requirements.

To brighten the spirit of the day, Richmond Swimming Centre and YMCA Hawkesbury Oasis will be granting free entry between 12:00pm-4:00pm until capacity is hit. Hawkesbury Regional Museum will be offering a range of children's activities between 10:00am and 4:00pm. If swimming or galleries isn’t on the agenda for you, stay local and head down to one of the many locations the Hawkesbury has to offer, you may even discover one of the four locations the council is giving away free ice-cream and Australia Day surprises!
