Hawkesbury businesses have until Monday, June 14 to get their entries in for the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE).

The Awards have been recognising the achievements of businesses and their employees for the past 30 years. Award categories include innovation, exporting and community leadership.

Winner of the 2020 Commonwealth Bank Business of the Year, David Mumford, Managing Director of RBK Nutraceuticals encouraged businesses to nominate. “Nominating for WSABE was a valuable tool for our business to review our strategies, identify the challenges we’ve faced over the course of the year and remember the wins we had made on the way,” Mr Mumford said.

“It's a real morale boost to be celebrated amongst your peers, and I strongly encourage all businesses to participate.”

Patron of WSABE, the Hon Alan Cadman OAM said the awards were a platform for all businesses and professionals to receive recognition for their work.

“With more than 150 eligible postcodes, I recommend all businesses and professionals in Western Sydney enter WSABE and make use of the platform to showcase their success, demonstrate credibility, connect with other key leaders across our high performing region,” Mr Cadman said.

The awards will culminate in the annual gala dinner at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Parramatta on Friday, September 3 to announce the winners. The keynote speaker for the event will be Senator the Hon Marise Payne.

There were more than 400 applicants entered into last year's awards, showcasing their ability to adapt and endure under the challenging circumstances experienced at the height of the pandemic.
