Take your energy bills along to the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW Community Assistance Day in Richmond on Wednesday, May 10.

If you haven’t worried about the cost of living lately you would be among a very small minority.

The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) will host a Community Assistance Day for local residents and small business owners in Hawkesbury on Wednesday, May 10 from 10 am to 3 pm.

They will be on Durang land in Richmond at the Hawkesbury Leisure & Learning Centre to chat about any energy and water issues you may have and to give you information on rebates and concessions you may be eligible for.

They can help:

  • Review and explain your bill;
  • Check your rebate entitlements;
  • Talk to your retailers about outstanding issues;
  • Resolve complaints;
  • Help set up payment plans;
  • Provide information on bill comparisons and how to save energy in your home and reduce your bills.

Take your current electricity and gas bills, past bills and correspondence from providers and any concession cards you may have.

There will be other organisations there who can help with energy and water bills, support for seniors and carers, legal financial matters, tenancy rights, social support and more.

Some of those organisations include NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Service Australia, Legal Aid NSW, Wesley Mission, Peppercorn Services, Uniting, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Carers NSW, Fair Trading NSW, Simply Energy, Red Energy, Endeavour Energy, Sydney Water, Hawkesbury City Council, Revenue NSW, Jemena, Relationships Australia NSW, The Women’s Cottage and Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury Inc.
