Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Patrick Conolly

Have you heard about the Hawkesbury Resilience Project? It is an education, engagement and empowerment program designed to respond to climate impacts.

Now, as part of this project, you can come along to a free information session on solar energy at the Hawkesbury EarthCare Centre in Richmond on Thursday, 24 June, tonight, from 6pm-8pm or this Sunday, 27 June from 11am-1pm and learn all about how it works and the many benefits it offers.

You will also find out how much it costs and how much money you are likely to save and hear from independent experts and Hawkesbury locals about solar. There will be information stalls and solar displays and wood-fired pizza available for purchase.

Registrations are required via email hawkesburyresilienceproject@gmail.com or use the online form at westernsydney.edu.au/hrp and click on the webtile on the right ‘Register for our Solar Information Session’. Run primarily by Hawkesbury residents, the program aims to inspire the Hawkesbury community to create the social, institutional and physical infrastructure needed to survive and potentially thrive in our changing climate.

Hawkesbury City Council hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au is proud to be a partner in this NSW Government funded project with Western Sydney University (Sustainable Futures), Hawkesbury Environment Network, Macquarie Electorate Student Climate Activists, Penrith-Hawkesbury Environmental Educators Network and The Regional Centre for expertise in Education Greater Western Sydney.
