The Future of the Wetlands Forum will take place on June 1.

The Future of the Wetlands Forum will take place on June 1 in Windsor from 9:30am to 2pm.

The event follows the wetlands report completed last year at the Deerubbin Centre in Windsor.

The Hawkesbury Wetlands Group has invited individuals and stakeholders living on, managing, owning or are passionate about wetlands in the Hawkesbury Catchment.

During the forum, the findings of the Wetlands Assessment study carried out on 35 wetlands in the Haweksbury and the resulting recommendations will be discussed.

That report can be viewed online.

There will be a session dedicated to discussing how and what actions stakeholders can take to improve the health of wetlands in the Hawkesbury long-term.

Landholders will also have an information session about their rights and responsibilities living on a wetland and an opportunity to share their challenges, concerns and knowledge.

Future opportunities that may be possible with the Hawkesbury Wetlands Group will also be discussed.

Councillors and Council staff will be present on the day.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided and attendees will be offered a hard copy of the Hawkesbury Wetlands Site Assessment report on the day.

Contact the Local Landcare Coordinator for HNLN via email at landcare@hrcc.nsw.gov.au or phone 0410 616 139 if you have any questions.

You must register your attendance at https://form.jotform.com/220616961515859.
