Pedj Bojic brings a wealth of professional experience to the Hawkesbury City Hawks.

Soccer pro Pedj Bojic took his place with the Hawkesbury Hawks as they played their first home game since before the floods. Coach Dean Bertenshaw said Bojic had reached out to the team and they were happy to welcome him to the fold.

“We”ve had professional players before, but not one that has played that many professional games,” Bertenshaw said.

Bojic is a 300 game pro with multiple A League championships under his belt. His vast experience has been earned on the field with Sydney FC, Central Coast Mariners and Northampton Town.

He will be a vital asset for the Hawks as the club rebuilds after the floods. Bertenshaw said that the team was working hard to recover from the floods. “The floods destroyed the inside of all our buildings,” he said.

“We’ve lost a lot of equipment. We weren't able to play at home games for 12 weeks because there were no fields for us to play on.”

After having to reverse their games to aways due to the flood, Bertenshaw said the Hawks faced off against the South Coast Flame FC at their first home game for some time.

“We won 3 to 1 against the South Coast,” he said.

“It was a good game. We have 8 home games in a row.”

It was a good, strong game all round, with all three forwards scoring a goal each. Young Turpeinen, Miletic and Boamah were all in fine form on Saturday, according to Bertenshaw.

“All our young guys are doing well,” Bertenshaw said.

Pedj Bojic is a 300 game pro with multiple A League championships under his belt. He is also the founder and managing director of Play Essentials, with extensive experience mentoring younger players.
