Hawkesbury Schools To Receive Funding For Upgrades And Equipment

Member for Macquarie, MP, at Windsor South Public School that will soon have their outdoor learning spaces upgraded thanks to much-needed funding.

Upgrades and new equipment are on the agenda for six Hawkesbury schools thanks to $32 million in grants.

The schools applied for up to $25,000 to support much needed improvements to their facilities and learning environments.

Windsor South Public School, Glossodia Public School and St Matthew’s Primary School will upgrade their outdoor learning spaces.

Richmond High School will improve its outdoor learning spaces and add shade structures.

Bede Polding will refurbish classrooms while Chisholm Catholic Primary School will use its funding to install shade structures.

Member for Macquarie, Susan Templeman MP said the $400,000 investment in schools in Macquarie is part of a $250 million national commitment to improve school infrastructure.

“Our Hawkesbury schools, and the teachers who work in them deserve great infrastructure and quality equipment to help students achieve their best,” Ms Templeman said.

“This is a great outcome and I’m happy that we can deliver this funding to much-needed projectsf orour local schools.”

All schools across the country were invited to apply for the funding, with the projects assessed by the Department of Education and selected based on need.
