The Deerubbin Centre in Windsor will be showcasing a new mosaic depicting the Hawkesbury landscape. The mosaic, titled ‘Reflections of the Hawkesbury 2020’, was crafted by over 57 local residents, and was directed by Artist Marian Shapiro.

Mayor Susan Templeman and local artists who contributed to the collection gathered for the unveiling on the 26th of November at 9:30am at Rex Stubbs Memorial Garden. The four mosaics depict the local landscape of the Hawkesbury, focusing on the river as a symbol and motif of connecting the towns together, while physically bringing residents of the town together for its curation. The initiative of the project was founded by Be & Co, organised by Michelle Hookham, providing a pop-up social event emphasising the importance of connection, support and wellbeing of the local community.
