While Christmas is a favourite time of the year for most of us, it can also be a very stressful time.

Richmond Lions Club have come up with the perfect solution to deal with that stressed feeling - a family movie night out in the open.

They have partnered with Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre to organise a free screening of the family Christmas favourite, The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen on Saturday, December 16.

So, take a little time out of your business schedule and Christmas buying frenzy and gather your family and friends around you for an easy, good time.

All you need is to bring along your camping chairs or picnic rugs.

The movie screening is free, but the Richmond Lions Club will be serving up a delicious barbecue from 6:30 pm, with all proceeds from the sale going to the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation.

There will also be popcorn, fairy floss and slushies available for purchase.

Along with the movie, which will begin at sundown (approximately 8 pm), there will be Christmas carollers, face painting and a visit from the big man in red himself.

The pop-up open-air cinema is located behind Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre at Hollands Paddock, Windsor.
