Stronger Communities Program

Volunteers and community members in Glossodia have been enjoying the upgraded facilities made available through the Stronger Communities funding program, as $7000 was granted last year to the 1st Glossodia Scout Group for hot water, awning repairs, roof repairs and maintenance at the Lamrock Ave community hall location.

This year, 20 capital projects based within the Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains will receive access to a portion of the $150,000 on offer. The aim of the grants is to provide opportunities for funding to local community groups who may have their current fundraising opportunities jeopardised due to COVID-19 social distancing safety measures.

Expressions of interest for the Stronger Communities grants are available until Monday the 22nd of February 2021, available for submission to local MP member Susan Templeman. Information on the application processes, grant activity objectives, eligibility criteria and the assessment processes can be found by searching for the Stronger Communities Program under the grant and programs tab at businesses.gov.au.
