The Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club has a huge three-day event packed with trade displays and plenty of racing action, starting today, Friday, September 15.

The Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Club Windsor Spectacular promises a huge weekend of excitement with some of the country’s fastest boats signed up to race.

The Hawkesbury River will come alive with crews and fans of one of the region’s favourite events for the first time since 2019.

From the raw power of the 16 blown alcohol displacement boats hotly contesting the Chesser Trophy and State of Origin Series, 11 six-litres vying for the Trojan and Menace Cup to the 105mph, monos, Grand Prix outboard tunnels, there is plenty to keep the blood pumping.

Smaller boats - 5500cc class and emerging junior drivers will also have an opportunity to make their mark on the weekend.

Entry to today’s Practice and Unlimited Displacement, Hot Lap Challenge requires no ticket to enter.

Both Saturday and Sunday are race days and adult entry each day costs $25 or $45 for both days.

Teens from 12 to 16 years of age cost just $10 per day, while younger children are free.

You can get a family ticket (two adults and two teens) for $60 per day or $100 for a two-day entry.

VIP tickets cost $275 and allow you to watch the racing from the corporate VIP area.

People who have purchased their tickets early need to bring along their printed tickets or have them ready to scan on their mobile phones.

If you have pre-purchased a weekend pass, you will need to collect wristbands at the time of entry to ensure your entry on the second day.

QR codes will be at the gate for ticket purchase on the day through Trybooking.

The three-day event offers some of the best circuit racing in the country.

All of the excitement begins this afternoon, September 15 when the blown boats battle it out in hot laps to determine their starting order for Saturday’s racing.

Gates open from 8 am.

Eftpos facilities will be available over the weekend and there will be a nice selection of local food trucks and an open bar.
