Make this weekend the one where you find your Hawkesbury Christmas Spirit

We may not have reached the 12 Days of Christmas, but we have officially entered the countdown to the Yuletide season.

There is so much to do and see this weekend to get you in the mood for the festive season.

The children’s musical presented by Fantasia Showstoppers, ‘Twas the Week After Christmas is an hilarious and heartwarming story about what happens when the North Pole loses the Christmas Spirit.

Elves and reindeers have not gotten along for years.

The reindeer egos are high and the elves’ productivity is low.

Can a week’s vacation help remind them what Christmas is all about?

Grab a ticket and find out for yourself.

The show runs for a little over half an hour, commencing with showings at 6 pm and 7:30 pm today, followed by another three shows tomorrow from 12:30 pm, 2 pm and 3:30 pm.

Tickets are $20 each and the musical will take place at Richmond School of Arts, corner of March and West Market Streets, Richmond.

If you enjoy belting out a carol or two, you will not want to miss the Maroota Community Carols night tonight at Maroota Public School, 4540 Old Northern Road, Maroota.

The Hawkesbury Concert Band led by Jessica Dickinson and Tom Carter from 7 to 9 pm.

Take along a blanket, chair, candle, torch, and insect repellent.

The combined Local Rural Fire Brigades will provide a barbecue from 6 pm.

Grab a cake, a selection of preserves, free tea and coffee and a lucky dip at the St Alban’s Uniting Church Christmas Fair from 8 am to 1 pm today at St Andrew’s Uniting Church, 25 West Market Street, Richmond.

There’s nothing quite like Christmas Spirit to bring people together.
